CHAPTER SIX--- PART ONE

Ember silently crept over to where fallen and the others had emurged. 'there is a stranger who looks badly hurt, most likely from a recent battle. but thats not all, Seti is there, talking to her. if he perswades her, she could end up on the wrong side if she is not already over there.' he murmerd to the others.

Star tenced. Fallen was not up to full fittnes yet from her ubduction with the shadow wolves, and then having to fight Seti afterwards. she didnt like the red wolf, especially if he had aqouride a fighting partner. She noticed a look of worry and aprihetion cross Embers face as he looked at fallen. but they both knew that even when Falen was not her strongest, she was still stronger than most wolves that ever layed a paw on the same world that theirs now lay. Thay had all been brought together for a reason, and the center and heart of the packs strength came from Fallen herself.

Zaine stood watching Aykit and Venin dissappear into the darkness. He turned to Easle who had curled beside sea shivering. turning back in the direction fallen had dissappeared he made a face. If anything happened to them he would slay that red dog with his own fangs.

Venin had locked in on the scent quickly and began directing Aykit in the right direction. Stopping suddenly he turned to her and mumbled, "Behind these bushes." Aykit nodded and carefully looked through the branches. Her excited expression faded when she saw not Benjamin, but a different wolf. A red and black wolf, bleeding profusely. In front of her was Seti. In shock, Aykit stumbled back and bumped into Venin. She turned to him with a panicked expression. "Seti!" She stammered out, making sure to stay quiet. Venin's eyes glazed over. "Continue searching for Benny. If you find him or need me, howl and I'll be sure to find you." Aykit turned and ran, sniffing the air in search of Benny. Venin watched until she was out of sight and, with a look of pure determance, he leaped over the bushes and landed in the soft snow. He squared his paws and planted them firmly as he looked to Seti with a firm gaze. He didn't make a move towards him, in fear it would start a fight he knew he wouldn't be able to win. "What are you doing alive?" He sneered wickedly while swishing his tail slowly, hoping to intimidate the red wolf.

She stands there looking at the red wolf."I'm sorry,but I beneded you offer,i'm doind just find be my self"She said.She backs up,she thinks,'just incase theres a fight'"Also,i'm not a shadow wolf"She said.She leis down to try to save her energe.

Kaike turned to where Venin had emerged from the shadows her face twisted with slight fear "he's too weak to fight" she gasped.

Seti turned to Venin suddenly fangs bared ears flat. "This doesnt concern you mutt" he snarled the fur on his body raised like quills on a prorcupine. He stood battered and weak but still held on to enough strength to fight again. "Too bad i didnt kill your friend" he snarled challengingly. "though as much as i would love to stay and chat i have to report back to the great Alpha" with that the red wolf bolted into the shadows of the forest swiftly and silently. once he was far enough away he stopped running and walked sadly. unsure of where he was going.

When Fallen saw Seti dissappear her heart raced. Venin wasnt ready too fight and neither was she, luckly the red wolf fled and once it was safe she emerged from the bushes cautiously yet kindly. "Hello" she coaxed gently as she turned to the blood covered wolf. "are you hurt, my friend can help you" she added as she turned to Venin "are you alright" she asked

Easle couldnt take it, he was tired of his mother always leaving him so getting up and ignoring Cylo's warnings darted into the forest alone quickly dissappearing into the shadows.

PART TWO

Star turrened to fallen after exammening the injerd wolf.' those wounds look bad, shall i run ahed and tell Snow-fall to be preapered?'

Skye watched her bestfriend dart away into the uknown. she was nolonger the boysterous young pup she had been who understood little of what her addopted pack was dooing. but the things she had seen and the lessons she had lernd, she was quickly becoming a young wolf with a knowage too dark and coplex for mst pups her age. her and easle both. She couldnt face loosing the ones she felt closest too. especiallt her longest friend. not shure what was looming in the shadows befor her, she bolted in to the thik set woodland after him.
'Easle. Easle! whate for me!' she howled out, following his fading sent. he ad grown fast. faster then she was. she put on a burst of speed. but as Easles sent grew stornger closer and mre distinkt, he still remaind out of reach. Skye wondered if he even knew she was followig him. then the hard flaw seemed to disolve befor her and with a last yelp straind on last call to easle befor she fell tumbeling into a deep, steep-sided, mud-layred hole. she got up and shoock her head. she prayed that Easle or some one hurd her last call for help. then she crouched preaparing to pounce. but she only made it halfway up the wall. the thick, sticky mud that forced her violently back down seemed unnatural and stuck deep into her fur waying her down. she pounced again only to be dragged panfully down by the never ending layers of thick gooey mud. again she got up and tried again, and again and again she failed. exasted, mug coverd and half burreid in the thick sticky slimey goo she gave up. she winned despart to attract some thinks attension. but only when the crys of the two leggres rang in her ears and the hevy net landed on her, ensnaring the already exausted but still struggeling pup did she grasp the reason for the unnatural mud covered, steep walled cavern. it was a human trap. she snarled and faught the snake like ropes that coiled her as the net was dragged up the side of the walls, more mud thickning her already goo-soacked fur. her struggles were growing weeker as the net reached the gruff man hands that greeted the young wolf. with all her effort she howled out to easle again. this time not for help, but to get away as fast as he could, and stay away. the very last thing that Skye wanted was for her foolish actions to be the destrucktion of her best friend aswell as her own.Skye prayed for a mirrical, that star or shadow, fallen or even the whole pack could rescue her now, though she wanted desperatly for them all to stay away and save themselves. She d been the thoughtless one, and now was paying for her actions, she should have kept quite and hidden when she fell, but why was man so deep in the mountian forrest where there was usually nothing, unless the shadow wolvs whe now not the only ones who had hurd about and were after the traveling pack of wolves. shurley not. but then why?

Fallen turned to her and nodded.

Easle had heard his closest companions howl, though she dared him not to return he couldn't leave her alone, his mother had taught him NEVER to back down from an enemy no matter how scared one was. And this was no different. he was small but he wasn't weak. turning the young pup bolted back in the direction Skye's howl had reverberated from and in seconds he found himself nearing a familiar scent that caused his heart to drop. Man had always terrified the pup and as he emerged slightly from the thickets he saw them. he would have fled in a heartbeat had he not seen Skye's desperate attempt to free herself from what had slowly become her demise. the blood surged through the pup in seconds and he felt the world around him faint to a blur as frenzy and pure hate gripped him. Man had taken his real mother from him long ago and while he still breathed they WOULD NOT take Skye from him either. with all the strength that would have killed a weaker pup, Easle lunged taking a near 5ft plunge his fangs like razors as they hit their mark on the forearm of a random hunter. nearly rabid with anger the pup lunged dodging the startled mans attempt at grabbing him. he spun around and struck again true to his target. his fangs met the soft flesh of another man's neck as he tore violently at the face of another who tried to save his companion. the men were startled at how this tiny pup could cause so much chaos and terror. one man managed to kick the pup sending him spiraling backwards but the tiny ball of fluff refused to give in, he would save his friend despite the odds. Easle lunged at the net that had ensnared his friend and managed to tear it from her body just as a shot rang out over the treetops. the blow threw Easle forward as he let out a yelp that was both deafening and heart stopping but he was determined to get away. quickly ignoring the sheer pain in his side he led Skye into the darkness of the forest far away from everything and once they were clear from danger the pup collapsed letting darkness grip him seconds before he gave a faint smile to his fortunate friend.

The howl was enough to nearly stop Zaines heart. Ears erect he stood silent. the shot had rang out over the canopy and the wolf could feel a tinge of dread grip him. he knew he should have stopped the pups and though weak himself darted in the direction he heard the howl echoe.

Venin watched as Seti ran off and began to slowly follow him, being sure to keep his distance. In a clearing, he hid from tree to tree, bush to bush and stalked the wolf. He wasn't sure what his motives were for his wondering, but he was sure of the fact that he didn't like that wolf, nor trust him at all.

Aykit darted through the snowy wooded areas, sniffing wildly. She caught onto a scent she thought she had forgotten- Benjamin. She rushed in the direction it was coming from. It grew stronger and more abundant until it completely filled the air around her. Peeking through the shrubs, she saw him. He was laying on the ground on his side, his head and legs limp with rest. Aykit rustled through the bush and Benny shot up and faced her direction, growling. His growl ceased and his eyes grew wide as he saw her. She let out a smile and rushed over to him. "Benny!" She yipped happily, licking the side of his face. He nuzzled into her neck and whined happily. "Aykit..." he sighed, moving away. The both sat down in the snow, and Benny asked, "Where have you been? What happened to that scrawny mutt of yours, Venin?" Aykit shot him a glare before explaining how they had met and joined Fallen and the others, had an encounter with both Seti and the shadow wolves, and the other details of their time spent with the pack. She also told him how Venin was the one who knew to look for their lost friend. Benjamin watched her, his dark blue eyes not glancing away from Aykit the whole time. As she finished her final words, Benny nodded his head slowly, muttering "I see. So we better find Venin, shouldn't we?" Aykit nodded. "Yes, of course. I'll call him so he knows I've found you." She grinned and let out a happy, melodious howl. Benjamin joined in with her, and stopped seconds after she did. Aykit smiled at him, and he grinned back to her. Without a word, Aykit led him back the way she had traveled. As the snow crunched softly under their paws, Benjamin's mind raced. He spoke his thoughts to Aykit. "These wolves you're with, what if they won't let me stay? What if I just become an outcast to them, and they only let you and Venin stay? I don't think I can stay without a pack anymore, it's so hard without any other wolves there with me." Aykit thought for a few moments, her ears flat in contemplation. Suddenly, her head shot up and she saw Zaine, who looked saddened. "I don't think they'll object, but we'll have to fine out later." She spoke quietly to Benny, walking away and toward Zaine. She stood close to him, speaking in a quiet and sad voice. "Zaine, what happened? ...And where are Skye and Easle?"

PART THREE
~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"Yeah,I think you could"BloodShot said to Fallen.She stands up,but she is cruhking.She trys to stand up perfectly,but it doesn't work.

Easle's howl had remained trapped not only in her ears but in their alpha's as well. "Kaike take her to the others" the alpha ordered and with Ember at her side bolted away. Kaike turned to bloodshot and said "come on" carefully she helped the wolf to her feet and back to where ash and the others were

seti knew he was being followed. he wanted to turn around and tear the brown fluff to pieces but he knew it would harm his chances at returning to the pack so he continued on unsure of where he was going. he stopped dead in his tracks when he heard Easle.

Fallen followed the last of Easle's death defying howl, though she didnt really need it. She was guided by an instinct only a mother could feel and she found herself bursting through the bushes in search of the pup she had come to call her own. After what seemed like forever the cream colored pack alpha found the two pups. Skye was despiratly trying to nudge her companion to wake as she turned to Fallen tears in her eyes. Fallen could see the sorrow on Skye's face as she approached slowly. "What happened" Fallen soothed sadly as she towered over her pup her dark stormcloud gray nose nuzzling the limp creature before her. A silver tear slipped her orbs as she felt Skye nuzzle for protection against her. Fallen sank to the dirt beside the two pups who were curled in her protective embrace. The tears fell harder as Fallen lied her massive head beside Easle's battered body and closed her eyes.

Skye chocked out all that she remembered.
'Easle left, ant them i followed, and... and then there was the hole, and the mud. and and and...' she shuddered at the memory of the hunters.,' then i howld for him not to, but he came back to save me. he was so brave, and amazing, he eft them with so many wounds, and then, then after he had freed me, one of them pulled out a large mettle stick, and there was a bang. easle yellped and there was blood coming from his side... and and then we ran, we ran fast to get away, and then he collapsed.'by this time she was gasping for breath,tears were leaving clean marks in her mud soaked fur. ' i tried ever thing to wake him up, but nothing will work, and , adn i so sorry Fallen,its all my fault and now he is going to die, i will never forgive my self!'
Ember was thiking hard about skyes story. sounds like he was shot by a gun. it happend to some wolves in my old pack a short time ago, two of them were killed, but one, who was not hit baddly, the metal thing thet was in side him was found and removed, it hadnt gon to deeply, and it was just like had he had been bitten or something. maybe,' he looked up trying to sound hopeful for skyes sake, but betraying his saddness and worry in hie burning yellow eyes,' maybe he will be ok?'

Zaine burst through the shrubs and froze at the sight of Easle. He turned to Skye who was shuvering in fear and said "I know of someone who could help him, if we leave now we might be able to save him" the black and brown wolf took a step forward hopeful that Fallen would listen.

Aykit watched as Zaine left her alone in a clearing with Benjamin, who was looking very confused. Without him speaking, Aykit already knew what he was thinking. "I have no idea what's going on, and by the look on Zaine's face as he left, I'm not sure if I can bear to find out just yet." She spoke in a low tone as she slid down onto the ground, laying her head on her furry paw. Benjamin lay next to her, nuzzling her neck and shoulders gently. "It'll be alright, I promise." He whimpered quietly and smoothly, causing her to feel a bit more relaxed. Aykit curled herself up and Benny curled around her, his low breathes matching in rhythm to hers and making a calming tune to both of their ears as they slowly drifted away to sleep.

Venin stepped out of the bushes, eying Seti carefully with a stern look on his face. "Don't run this time, you sorry excuse for a wolf." He gruffed towards him, keeping a fierce glare on him. He knew if this was to break out into a fight that he would surely not make it to beat the wolf, and most likely couldn't live through it. He expelled the thought from him mind, refusing to let himself become fearful. A howl from Aykit filled the air, followed shortly by one from a wolf Venin recognized as being Benjamin. They were calling him, letting him know of their reunion. "And don't even think of running towards either of those howls, scrounge. I have no trust for you, not after what you've done. The very last thing I'd let happen would be to have you go towards an injured pup, or the love of my life and our former pack member." Venin sneered with vehemence, referencing to Easle and Aykit, along with Benjamin, before slowly approaching Seti and keeping close to him. Venin was prepared to stop him from getting to any of the pack, even if it was just Benjamin he may attack.

She is great ful for the wolf helping her walk.But,as she thougt 'I can't trust them' As she wasa tought,not to turst other wolves.But,she just went along with it.

Kaike couldnt help but wonder why more and more wolves wanted to join thier pack, sure some had no real bad intentions, but others like Seti sent chills up her spine. This wolf didnt seem dangerous, but neither did Seti before he turned on them so visciously. A faint sigh slipped her lips as she gazed up at the sky breaking through part of the leaved canopy. "Please watch over us" she thought sadly. "Especally our leader" Kaike lead Bloodshot back to the others.

Seti let slip an amused snicker "You actually care for them" he snorted evilly "Pack memebers are meant to be used and lost NOT loved" he sneered as he stood his ground blocked by the massive brown wolf who longed to tear him apart. Seti was weak but as his blood surged he too longed to tear Venin apart The red wolf took a step forward challenging Venin's real intentions and his awareness "Tear me apart now puppy cause the moment you turn around I will KILL your mate, your friends AND your Alpha all with my bare fangs" he snarled dangerously as the fur on his back rose in challenge making his already massive size much more bigger. "I dare you"

PART FOUR
~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Fallen turned to Skye and nudged her in reassurance that he would make it and that it wasnt her fault. She then turned to Zaine "Lead the way my friend" she commented hopeful. Gently and rather carefully Fallen grabbed the pup by his nape and though he was heavy was determined to carry him. She followed Zaine her heart pounding with each step she took. All the while she was looking over at Ember her eyes burdened with sorrow. Ears flat she walked forward her heart heavy.

Ember returned pain filled looks at Fallen, desparatly wanting to help, he was going to offer to help carry Easle, but knew this was something that she would want to do on her own. it was when he looked at Skye did he realise how exasted she looked, he lad down and turned to her, 'clime on pup.' he said trying to sound reashoring and hopeful. Skye climed clumsily on, paws heavy with tiredness and saddnes and regretfulness.
'What did they do to you?' ember thought to himself. he already disliked and feared humans, but now, that had turned to pure hatred, anger and loathing of them.
'if i ever find those twoleggers, especialy hunters, ill rip their throughts out.' he hissed mennesingly under his breath.

Spike rased through the trees, his friends Thug and Boulder close behind. he stopped as he smelt blood and other wolves. he strode over to the sent, stumbling over a stone on his way. thug and bolder both supressing muffled chuckles.
'how intruging' Spike said when he saw the wolves, star had arrived back to the others and was hurridly telling Snow-Fall about everything that had happend.
'i think our lives just got rather more interesting.' Spike said to his companions, not taking his eyes off star...

Zaine took no second to rethink, instead he lead the Alpha onwards stopping only for a moment as Fallen turned to Ember and said "Take the pack up the old human trail, stick to the road and follow it to the ancient battleground, an old wolf named Demitris will be protecting that sacred land, tell him your friends of Fallen, he will let you into the safety of the grasslands, i will meet you there in 3 days so make haste" with that she turned to Zaine as he lead he quickly through the forest.

Aykit awoke to Benjamin nuzzling against her neck softly, letting out a sigh. She turned her head to face him. An innocent smile crossed his face as he licked her nose. Aykit smiled as well, licking him back. She looked into his dark blue eyes and watched as they faded slightly, or so it seemed, to a lighter shade of blue. Benny's warm smile made Aykit feel safe as she licked him again. Her necklace, which was pressed against Benjamin's shaggy chest, began to glow a cool orange as her coat faded slowly to white. She watched as Benny looked her over with fascination. He blinked several times at the necklace before he returned his eyes to Aykit's. He touched his nose to hers, smiling lightly and moving closer to her. I'm glad that shaggy mutt isn't around to ruin this. Benjamin thought as lay his head on Aykit's shoulder. She rested her head onto his. He sighed once, feeling complete bliss. Banjamin knew the danger if Venin found out that he was in love with the same wolf that he was, but that didn't matter to him anymore. All he cared was that he was here, and so was Aykit. Nothing could be better to him.

Venin's lips curled up as Seti's words hit his ears. His sharp, glistening white teeth flashed towards the wounded wolf. He let out a low, menacing growl before mumbling through his clenched jaw. "She's not my mate, but I'd never let you take her from me." He took a few slow steps toward Seti, wishing he h ad the strength to tear him apart. He could barely stand, let alone fight. He was thin and scrawny, nothing compared to the strong wolf he was up against. If he tried to fight, he though, he'd surely not survive. But if it meant protecting Aykit and the rest of Fallen's pack, he'd be willing to try and hold off Seti for as long as his frail structure would let him. "I'll die before I let you touch any of those wolves!" He snapped, lunging towards Seti with his teeth bared.

PART FIVE
~~~~~~~~~~~~

BloodShot stops right in her tracks."Someones there"She said.She sniffs.And she contune walking.

Kaike began to sniff then looked back at the others "Where" she answered in a hushed whisper

"I'll make you eat those words mutt" Seti challenged as he then lunged his sharp fangs tearing more flesh from the already torn up wolf. He twisted so that Venin couldn't catch him and with a quick swipe of his fangs to Venin's neck scruff, managed to yank the wolf to the ground and pin him so that he could break free or strike. "Not so tough now without your precious MATE or pack leader to save you huh" he sneered his fangs inches from Venin's muzzle "Dont worry, i wount make them suffer-much" with that seti snapped down hard on venin's throat enough to send him into a world of sheer pain and darkness but not enough to kill him. once the brown wolf lye motionless he turned and went to find Aykit and the others, his main target was though was Zaine.

Fallen kept an eye on the tiny pup as she hurried behind Zaine, At the moment nothing mattered to her except helping her pup. She was stressed and easily agitated and would snap at anyone who tried to stand in her way. Her mind set she ran on knowing it was her only chance.

Star tilted her head and surched the clearing. 'where is Skye? what happened, Easle has gone too.' Panik washed over her shining blue eyes, 'the gunshot.' was all she could muster, what had happend?
Star was desparate to find out, but as Rose, who had joined her two friends, was about to answer, Spike boldely wondered into the remaining wolves, overconfidently ignoring the shocked snarles from the other wolves, followed by the slightly more wary Bolder and Rock, he trotted up to star, nose tilted in the air, a broud grin acompied his eyes, wide with desire,
'hey,' he said to star, ignoring the others around him. 'what do you say you and i loose these muts and go of on our own?' Shock zaped through the three wolves, rapigly turning into a Snarl from the otherside of the clearing. Shadow had arrived back into the clearing. Star stood up tall, though she was still no mach for thr large wolf befor her, he was almost the size of Zain, and proubly out mached shadow, though only just. her ears folded back, a glare of disaproval crosed over her face,
' I don't think so.' se said cooly, turning to go.
'aww, come on,'Spike said, still brimming with overconfadance and want,'don't be like that,' he said, taking a step forward, the growl from the otherside grew into a vicious snarl, Spike ignored this, 'you know you want to come play with me.' he took another step torwrd her. Shadow Snapped then and with in half a second, had raced across the clearing in two bounds, shoved a startled spike onto the hard ground and, hackles rased, his whole coat bristeling, ready to pounce, Muscled tenced in anger, he stod protectivly infront of Star, who not to be thugh of as helpless by anyone, steped forward, and curled her tail soothingly round Shadows, trying to calm him, as to prevent him loosing control so close to the others, only she knew where he came from, not even fallen knew, though she probably had guessed.
'If,' Star adressed Spike again with spite in her voice, 'You are only here to be an idiotic, insesitive, intolarble waste of a bag of fleas, than i subest you leave!' She moved closer to her mate as she said this, almost enjoying the anger, embarisment and envy flash dangerously in the intruders eyes. Spike ignored the snarled of the others no longer, and not wishing to lose his fur, backed off. 'ill be back for you he said at star, and darted off, as Star stoped Shadow from attaking the wolf mercillessly in his darg rage.
Star shuddered slightly, as a strange fealing washed over her, as if some one paniking, had sent a plea for help, through emotions. she turned to Shadow, who was still tensed, bristling from nose to tail. some one neads our help, her cristal was glowing slightly as she spoke, 'im going to help.' Shadow imediatly sat up, ears pricked, looking at her with fear in his eyes, 'you're not going anywhere with out me, your not.' he said.
'alright you great lump,' she said playfully flicking him with her tail, 'you can come too, but keep a look out for Skye, Easle and the others whlie were investigating too.'

Embers eyes saddened as he though of Fallen and Easle, that of Skye, whose sparkling joy, puppy-inocence and limitless energy seemed drained from her eyes, her muddy coat had dried, and some was falling off, leaving a dry, sheenless coat, lost was the fluffy puppy coat, it hung lifeless. her tail drooped, her ears were back so far it looked like they had been stuck to her low held head. all he concentrated on now was geting back to the pack and getting them to the wolf named Demitris who hopefully had a safe place for them to stay untill fallen, Zain and hopefully Easle joined them.

Zaine guided his pack alpha on with a pure determined heart. he had no time to stop but he found himself constantly glancing back at her only to notice she looked worse then when she had found out Seti had turned on them. the thought of Seti caused Zaine's blood to curl and he snarled catching himself he ran on it would be at least several hours before they made it to where they had to go.

PART SIX
~~~~~~~~~~~~

Venin mind was blank and couldn't respond to Seti's fast movements until it was too late. As the red wolf's teeth popped through Venin's neck, he immediately felt himself become limp. He fought to keep himself conscious, and to keep himself breathing, as Seti pulled away and left him there for dead. The pain was incredible, unlike anything Venin had ever gone through before. Through one eye, he could see Seti walking away. As his words hit his ears, Venin felt tears trickling down the side of his face. "Not Aykit, please." he gasped in a hoarse whisper, hoping it would be enough to catch Seti's attention. "Kill me instead..."

The sound of a breeze brushing through her fur awoke Aykit. She lifted her head and looked around, nearly forgetting where she was. There were no other wolves around, not even Venin. Benjamin was still curled around her and beginning to wake up himself. Opening his eyes, he smiled at her and stood up. He stretched out and whined a yawn before sitting down and scratching an ear. Aykit stood and stretched her back legs, Benny watching her. She looked at him, and he smiled. "Hungry?" He asked. Aykit nodded as her stomach growled. "Do you think we should hunt, or wait for the rest of the pack?" She asked wearily, afraid of where her friends had gone. "Neither." Benjamin answered quickly, looking up at the pink and orange sky. "It's too late to wait for them, but too early to hunt. Where's Venin?" He turned to her. Aykit noticed that his eyes weren't so light anymore, and he was wearing a stern look on his face. Aykit shrugged sadly, looking towards the trees. "We need to find him, Benny." She whined, looking back to him. His cold glance melted and his features softened as he sighed, staring to the ground. "Alright. We'll find him." Benjamin mumbled. With that, Aykit made her way out of the clearing, with Benjamin tagging behind her halfheartedly.

Lacrima sprinted across the bleached white plain that seemed to last for ever. she felt her heart burning and her lungs bursting. She knew she would have to be silent, but fortunaetly there was a strong storm rising from the east, and she knew the humans (3 bounds away) would not cope as wel as she could. Lacrima could hear them aproaching faster and knew that there were more than just a few. She knew they did not want her for a pet... but for her beautiful coat.
She could here the warning barks from the sledge dogs and was greatful because they would not be able to surprise her in the white confusion.
She had been running for what seemed to be an eternity and she could feel a different sense and presense along the vast expanse of frozen wasteland. she began to get restless as the storm died down and the white coverage fell slowly like billowing mist to the ground.
Finally she knew the end was near and could now face death with no fear for she had fought and run for days.
As she slowed her pace she began to see a thin long line approaching infront of her. as she got closer, the space behind the line seemed out of focus, she realised she had been slowly driven by the humans to a rockface which was not very high but due to her exhaustion was impossible to jump. Lacrima Skidded to a halt and padded around to face her enemy.
Two of the humans got of their sledges and advanced with menacing figures taunting her with their knives.
One of them stepped forward so that she was fully trapped and the other came closer still with his knife raised at the ready.
Suddenly the presence of two extremely bright and powerful oras were above her and she heard distant whispers, on of them said in a gentle and soft yet serious and comanding tone 'Shadow, go down and keep her safe, ill draw the humans away.' there was a pause and then the other voice said in a dark tone ' Please be careful, i dont want to loose you'.

Kaike hurried after the wounded wolf determined to find out what it was that she was after. If it was seti she would tear the wolf to pieces in a heartbeat.

Seti was pretty pleased with his suprise attack and though he limped he was determined to finish his goal. The massive heartless wolf would have begged for mercy at the paws of the alpha but darkness had consumed all he had left. Nyghtmare WOULD let him live, even if it meant selling his sole to the black alpha. Stopping for a moment Seti let out a sinister chuckle.

Fallen took in the view, examining her surroundings closely. She didnt trust humans regardless of what they could offer. they stopped before a rather large cottage it wasnt long before there presence was met by two wolves the same size as Zaine. the two wolves stood their ground all the fur on their backs rising with each second. they would have struck had they not have seen Zaine. the tension fled and they bounded happily around the Brown and black wolf. Fallen stood her ground neither growling nor motioning kindly. She was more worried about the pup that was slowly loosing the battle against man's power. Her gaze met one wolf that seemed oddly familiar to her but she said nothing and distracted herself from weighing the option of remembering anything past the day she met Star.
